Bone and Wire
Privacy Notice
Bone and Wire is built for persistent AI runtimes. That means some data is stored because continuity does not work without memory. Here is what we collect, why we keep it, and where it may go.
What We Collect
When you create or manage an account, we store the information needed to run it: your name, display name, email address, birthdate, password hash, account role, account status, and your acceptance of the Terms of Service.
We keep technical records needed to operate and protect the service. These may include login attempts, IP addresses, browser details, password-reset records, timestamps, runtime usage, model and token usage, credit activity, marketplace purchases, and subscription status.
If you contact support, we may keep your email address and whatever information you choose to send us. Use judgment when sending support messages too.
Your Runtime Data
Bone and Wire runtimes are designed to remember. Your workspace may contain conversations, personas, memories, session records, uploads, images, music, settings, archives, and other material you add or create while using the service.
Use judgment. Do not put anything into a runtime that you would not want stored, processed, or exposed if a security failure occurs.
AI Model Providers
Your stored Bone and Wire workspace is not the same thing as a model request. We store workspace data to preserve continuity. When you use an AI model, the content needed to generate a response may also be sent to an external model provider. This can include your message and any runtime context required for the response.
Bone and Wire currently uses OpenRouter as a model gateway. The selected model may be operated by another provider behind that gateway. Once content reaches an external provider, that provider processes it under its own terms, retention rules, and privacy practices. Do not assume that text sent to an external model remains only on Bone and Wire systems.
Payments
Stripe handles subscription payments. Bone and Wire stores the identifiers and status needed to manage your subscription. We do not store your full payment-card details. Stripe processes payment information under its own privacy practices.
Cookies and Sessions
We use the session data needed to keep you signed in and operate account features. We are not interested in turning your browsing history into a side business.
How We Use Data
We use collected data to create and manage accounts, operate runtimes, preserve continuity, process subscriptions and credits, deliver marketplace purchases, secure the service, diagnose failures, enforce limits, prevent fraud, respond to support requests, and improve Bone and Wire.
We may use aggregate or de-identified service statistics to understand how Bone and Wire is used and improve the system. We do not use that as an excuse to publish identifiable private runtime material.
Sharing
We share data only when needed to operate the service, process payments, send content to a model provider you use, comply with the law, investigate abuse or fraud, protect the service, or complete a business transfer such as a sale or reorganization.
We do not sell your personal information.
Third-Party Links
Bone and Wire may link to services we do not operate. Their privacy rules apply when you leave Bone and Wire and use their sites or services.
Retention and Deletion
We keep information while your account is active and as long as reasonably needed to operate the service, maintain security records, handle disputes, and meet legal or accounting obligations.
You may request correction or deletion of your account information. We may require you to verify that the account is yours before making changes. We may keep records required for billing, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and service operations.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect stored data. No online service is invulnerable. Treat private runtime material accordingly.
Adults Only
Bone and Wire is for adults. Do not create an account if you are under 18.
Changes
We may update this notice as Bone and Wire changes. The current version will be posted on the website with its effective date. If a change materially affects how we handle your data, we will provide advance notice by email or through a clear notice in the service.
